Deadline to Return Equipment

As the end of autumn quarter approaches, please take a moment to review STLP operations and the process for returning your equipment loan.

STLP does not offer quarterly extensions or renewals of equipment loans. All equipment loaned during autumn quarter must be returned by the scheduled return date during the week of December 8. STLP anticipates opening online equipment reservations for winter quarter by 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, December 29.

Courtesy Extensions

During autumn, winter and spring academic quarters, all STLP equipment must be returned no later than the Tuesday of finals week (December 9). Students requiring equipment after that deadline may request a courtesy extension as late as the Friday of finals week (December 12). Requests for courtesy extensions must be submitted by completing the STLP Contact Form at least seven (7) days prior to the last day of the current academic quarter. Courtesy extension requests must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5. All requests submitted after this deadline will be denied.

Equipment Return

All STLP equipment must be returned the week of December 8. Students may review the scheduled return date of their equipment loan at any time by visiting the My Bookings page. For return date questions or concerns, please text 206-685-6090.

Quarter Break Requests

Requests for equipment loans which span a quarterly break period must be submitted by completing the STLP Contact Form at least seven (7) days prior to the last day of the current academic quarter. Requests must be related to UW academic, instructional and/or research activities and are subject to adviser/faculty verification (proof of enrollment for the following academic quarter is also required). At the discretion of the program, requests are approved based on demonstration of an approved use as well as equipment availability.

Equipment must be returned by the scheduled return date, at the beginning of the next academic quarter, before making a new reservation for the same equipment type. Quarter break requests must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5. All requests submitted after this deadline will be denied.

Note: With exception to Academic Student Employees (ASEs), quarter break requests related to employment will not be accepted.

Shipping

Students who previously had equipment shipped to their address or those who are otherwise unable to return their equipment in person, may request a prepaid return shipping label by completing the STLP Contact Form.

Shipping requests for enrolled students will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9 and all return shipments must be dropped off at a UPS location by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 12.

Note: Not all equipment items are eligible for shipping – ineligible items must be returned in person.
